What’s Involved in Radon Mitigation?

Next, our mitigation experts will carefully drill into the concrete slab of your home—usually in a discreet area such as the furnace room or another location approved by the homeowner—to create a pathway for Radon gas to exit.

The system’s piping and fan are then installed and sealed for maximum efficiency. This process also includes sealing any visible Radon entry points and filling gaps beneath the furnace.

Once installed, your Radon mitigation system will be tested and verified to confirm proper operation. You’ll receive an on-site digital scan showing the reduction of Radon levels in real time. All installations are completed to C-NRPP standards, as recommended by Health Canada.

If you don’t already own a Radon monitor, we can supply a long-term Radon test that collects at least 91 days of data. At the end of the testing period, you simply return it for lab analysis using the provided pre-addressed (but not prepaid) envelope.
