According to Health Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society, and the Lung Association, testing your home for Radon is strongly recommended to ensure safe indoor levels.
We provide long-term test kits that can be mailed directly to your home and used for a minimum of 91 days up to a full year. Long-term Radon testing is considered the most accurate way to understand true Radon levels in your home and is highly recommended before considering mitigation. Many homeowners also feel confident making mitigation decisions based on results from a digital radon monitor. Once your 90-day test period is complete, simply send the kit to the lab using the pre-addressed envelope provided (lab analysis fees are included in the purchase), and wait for your results!
96-Hour Assessment (Short-Term Radon Testing)
We offer a short-term Radon assessment where a commercial-grade Radon monitor is set up in your home for 96 hours. At the end of the test, you’ll receive a detailed digital report with an hour-by-hour breakdown of Radon levels. Short-term testing is particularly useful for real estate transactions, as it provides an accurate snapshot of Radon concentrations during that specific time frame. If levels exceed Health Canada’s recommended guidelines, you may negotiate the cost of a Radon mitigation system into the home purchase, or negotiate further based on results from a follow-up long-term test. For homeowners seeking to understand their property’s long-term Radon exposure, this test is not recommended.
